Website Mockup Design: The History of… Mafalda

The History of … Mafalda is a graphic design project in which we researched the history of a chosen topic and designed five website panels to showcase that information. I chose Mafalda, a beloved cartoon character created by Argentine artist Quino. Her stories have deeply resonated with audiences across Latin America. I was excited to develop a vibrant layout and a five-scroll webpage that brings Quino’s iconic black-and-white illustrations to life with a fresh perspective and thoughtful use of color.

As part of this project, I also designed character pages for Susanita and Guille. If this were a functional website, clicking the "Explore Characters" button would lead to dedicated pages featuring detailed descriptions and fun facts about each character.

Style Guide & Mockup

The original artwork featured in this project was created by Joaquín Salvador Lavado Tejón, known as Quino. I do not claim ownership of these illustrations; my work is inspired by Quino's creations, and I have added color and design elements to present them in a new light.
