Dos ~ Two is a bilingual children’s picture book that I’m illustrating as part of my senior capstone, in collaboration with a local author and owner of Hipocampo Children’s Books in Rochester, NY. I’m also leading a creative team of concept artists, animators, and UX designers to bring the story to life through an animated digital version. The book follows Clarita, an Afro-Latina girl learning to embrace her Puerto Rican roots while growing up in the U.S., inspired by both my and the author’s multicultural upbringing. The illustrations are deeply rooted in my own family and lived experiences. I love creating colorful, vibrant, and playful artwork—stylistic elements I intentionally incorporate into every part of this project.
