Comprando Piraguas
Comprando Piraguas (Buying Piraguas) is an art piece I developed under the mentorship of professionals at the Otis College of Art and Design. In this course, I created prop, character, and environmental designs to bring the final concept to life. The characters in this piece are inspired by local Puerto Rican foods and fritters, capturing the essence of my cultural heritage.
I developed this concept by reminiscing about my childhood in Puerto Rico, recalling the vibrant colors and lively atmosphere of buying Piraguas with my family. Below, you will find the finalized pieces of work, along with the development process that led to their creation.
